Some of Our Ministries

Care Ministry: The Care Ministry exists to care for our congregation, the Oakwood Community Church family. Family means building relationships with love and respect, leaning on God’s grace and mercy. The Care Ministry provides practical assistance, physical or spiritual, by giving our loving support and encouragement. We exist to serve the purpose of God. Please see details of our ministries and contact information in the Ministry Directory.

Life Groups: Sermon-based Life Groups run throughout the year. The purpose is to grow in faith, care for one another and share Jesus with the world. Look for a sign up sheet in the lobby on Sunday or check the websites homepage.

Children’s Ministry: The Children’s Ministry of Oakwood Community Church partners with parents to train up children who love and serve the Lord and have deep-rooted faith. As Isaiah 61:3 says, “They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of His splendor.” During the 9 a.m. Sunday School hour, children ages 2 through 6th grade participate in a Bible-based, God-centered teaching time. Nursery care is available for newborns through age 2 at 9 a.m. During the 10:30 a.m. service, nursery care is available for newborns through age 4. Children age 4 and up are encouraged to worship with their parents at 10:30 a.m.

Student Ministry: The Student Ministry exists to reach junior high and senior high school students with the truth of the Gospel, to connect them with other Christ-followers, to help them grow in their relationship with God, and to challenge these students to love others and glorify God with their lives. Every event, activity, conference and trip works together to accomplish this purpose as a student ministry.
