The Marriage Course is a 8-week class designed to help your marriage thrive! We will cover a variety of topics, and provide you opportunities for rich and meaningful conversations as a couple seeking to honor God in your marriage!
We will gather together in person to begin the class, then you and your spouse will take the sessions home to complete on your own time each week.

This is the verse that is on the Kids logo here at Oakwood. In order to apply this verse to our daily lives, it is important Oakwood Kids are reading daily from their Bibles. First graders are eager to learn and it's a great time to give them a Bible they are going to want to read and learn from. Each week kids are asked to open their Bible to the story that is being taught.
If you’d like your first grader to receive a Bible, please register them. Be sure to tell us which service you'll be attending.

Preteen LAUNCH is here Monday, September 15 from 6:30-8pm! This is a night for all 4th-5th Grade students to come to Oakwood for this awesome night! This begins the fall season for Oakwood Preteen. We want to encourage students to come, invite their friends, and have a ton of fun together.

Kids 1st grade through 5th grade will audition and put on a Christmas Musical for the church family. People can expect to be encouraged and inspired as Kids share the Gospel/Scripture through singing and acting.
Auditions are Sunday Sept 14th 1:00-4:00
Rehearsals start Sunday mornings during the 8:00am service and run Sept 21st through Dec 7th.
Performance will be 12/13.

If you are ages 18-24, you are invited to our College-Age Ministry here at Oakwood. We will be meeting on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30pm for a time of fun, community, and worship. Our hope is to develop a place where you can be known, loved, and equipped wherever you are at during this important life stage. You may be working full-time, in college, taking a gap year, or anywhere in between - you are invited to join us.
WHAT: 6th Grade Foundations is a time for 6th grade students to explore and understand the foundational Truths of the Christian faith. We will explore theology, understand the narrative of the Bible from Old Testament and New Testament, and finish the year with apologetics. The last Sunday morning will be a Graduation on May 10th in front of the congregation during the 11am service.

Join us for our Oakwood Kids Fall LAUNCH! Pancakes and Sausages will be served from 10:30-1:00 on September 7th. We will have a bouncy house, face painting and outdoor games. Due to Lake Waconia Beach closing, there are some changes regarding the Kids & Preteen Beach Bash. This event will be held at the same location (8170 Paradise Ln, Waconia, MN 55387) but this will now be a picnic style event!
Families are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket as well as a sack dinner. Snacks will be provided and there will be games, crafts, and other activities to enjoy for the night. We will meet at the lawn in front of the beach.
Baptism is an act of outward obedience to Jesus after making a personal commitment to follow Him. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and would like to take this step of obedience and be baptized or just want to learn more about Believer’s Baptism, please let us know by registering and a staff member will contact you.

Kids, age 3 years to entering 5th Grade (Fall of 2025)), are invited to VBS at Oakwood Community Church. This year's VBS theme is "MAGNIFIED." We will Discover the BIGNESS of GOD in the smallest of things. Kids will be challenged to stand in awe of God's spectacular creation and see how He keeps the whole universe going and growing, yet HE still cares about what's going on in their lives. Kids will learn that they can be confident God loves them and He will be faithful to keep His promises. Join us for a HUGE amount of fun, new friends, awesome music and games.
