Oakwood Preteen is back for the summer! We will continue to meet for Preteen this summer, beginning on June 16th. Come on out for a great night to launch the rest of the summer.

All INCOMING 6th graders are invited come to our 6th grade party! This will be a great night to get connected and informed on what you can expect when you join Oakwood Youth. 

If you are between the ages of 18-24, whatever life-stage you find yourself in, this is a place to connect with a community. We want you to find a place to belong, share life, and grow in your faith. Come join us on Tuesday Nights from 6:30-8:30pm every week for food, games, and connection.

This is the last Wednesday Night of the school year! We celebrate all that God has done, we worship together, and we thank God for the past school year of faithfulness.

Baptism is an act of outward obedience to Jesus after making a personal commitment to follow Him. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and would like to take this step of obedience and be baptized or just want to learn more about Believer’s Baptism, please let us know by registering and a staff member will contact you.

We want to celebrate you and all that you have accomplished. We also want to launch you as a church well, because we love you. On this Sunday you are invited to come up on stage during one of the services, either the 8:00am, 9:30, 11:00 or 5:00pm service times. You will receive a special gift and we will pray for you.

Come and gather to spend some time with your mom to do a Mother's Day activity! You will be making a Mother's day gift that you will be taking home.

New to Oakwood? We want to connect with you. Whether you’re visiting, still checking us out or have been attending for months, you are invited to join us for lunch. You will have the opportunity to meet other families and some of the Oakwood staff. You'll hear a little about our church, its history and ask any questions. All MS (6-8 grade) youth are invited to join us at the Waconia Ice Arena for MAY FRENZY! We have rented out the space for an awesome time and there will be some fun competitions, free time, activities, pizza, and more! There will be something for everyone and we want you there! The cost is $5 and it covers the space rental, pizza, and all the activities for the evening! Don't miss it and we want you to invite your friends to this great night!

Ladies, join us for a lovely evening together! We will enjoy dinner, hear inspiring faith stories from Oakwood women, and worship together. It is a great opportunity to meet other women and to bring your friends for a fun night out. We hope you can join us!

This is a 3-hour conference for parents, grandparents, and spiritual parents of 0-12th grade kids! We want to provide a time of encouragement, equipping, and excitement around investing in the spiritual life of the Next Generation. Author and speaker Greg Speck will be joining us as our keynote speaker. We are providing several breakouts for every age and stage of kids, including Attachment Theory and Parenting, Intentional Rights of Passage, Calming the Chaos for Young Children, The 5 Love Languages and Parenting, Practical Parenting Tips & Best Bedtime Ever, The Mystery of Middle School, and Engaging Technology as a Parent. This for any parent, grandparent, or spiritual parent of the Next Generation to invest in building lifelong followers of Jesus in their home and through their influence.

We can’t wait to experience Preteen PALOOZA! This is a night of friends, games, prizes, worship, food, and more! Bring friends and come ready to have a great night together!

Families, have your kids invite their friends and family to come see a professional juggler who will entertain your kids and encourage them to Trust in Jesus Christ no matter what they face in life. This is a great community outreach and fun for the entire family. 

We all have special memories of Easter with family and friends. Much of those memories are associated with food. As we look forward to this most important day of the Christian year, bring a food that evokes your special memory.

This is one of the BEST NIGHTS of the Spring at Oakwood Youth! We gather all 6-12 grade together for a night of worship, community, and a message from a special speaker. Doors open at 6pm - so bring your friends and let’s celebrate together!

Parents and Preteen students come to Feed My Starving Children for a night of serving together! Students will serve at FMSC alongside their peers, packaging food for people in need all over the world. The goal is to have parents serving alongside their students. We are not providing transportation to FMSC, so you can carpool with friends or drop your student off if you're unable to attend.

Oakwood Youth high school students are heading to LIFE Conference in July 2025 and they are raising funds to offset the cost of this trip. This is an opportunity to support our students by simply eating! Plan to come to Waconia Culvers between 10am-10pm and 20% of the profits will go directly to the LIFE Conference trip fund.

We will come together as families and make sandwiches to be given to the homeless in downtown Minneapolis. We will need a lot of hands!  Kids ages 3 and up will be able to participate in this event. We hope to make between 300 and 500 sandwiches.

The Preteen Communion Night is coming up on March 17th and this is an invitation to the parents and students to participate! This will be a night of meeting Preteen leaders, understanding what we do from week-to-week, and discussing the significance of Communion. We will then participate in Communion together.

Missions opportunities are one of the priorities we have at Oakwood to raise lifelong followers of Jesus. Missions experiences allow students to take ownership of their faith, develop deep relationships with other Christian friends, engage in a different culture, and see God's Kingdom at work on a larger level. Missions experiences are connected to higher faith connection and ownership in teenagers.

This summer, we are offering a missions trip for current 6-8 grade students. We will be heading to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 5 days to serve alongside the missions organization YouthWorks.  This trip is geared specifically for this younger age group to serve in different ways within the community. They will serve in food pantries, meal centers, local gardens, and intergenerational care centers throughout the week.

• This is for CURRENT 6-8th grade students

• July 27-August 1 (travel will be by 15 passenger van)

• Down-payment is $100 (non-refundable)

• Overall cost is $700

• Registration Closes on March 9th, 2025

This class aims to provide comfort and encouragement to parents of wayward children by highlighting God’s deep understanding of the pain of rebellion, grounding their identity in Christ, and fostering humble, loving communication with their children.

Bring a dish to share and join the PARTY! We are having a High School Potluck with tons of food and lots of fun. This is an INVITE YOUR FRIENDS kind of night to Oakwood to have a PARTY!
