Oakwood Youth high school students are heading to LIFE Conference in July 2025 and they are raising funds to offset the cost of this trip. This is an opportunity to support our students by simply eating! Plan to come to Waconia Culvers between 10am-10pm and 20% of the profits will go directly to the LIFE Conference trip fund.

New to Oakwood? We want to connect with you. Whether you’re visiting, still checking us out or have been attending for months, you are invited to join us for lunch. You will have the opportunity to meet other families and some of the Oakwood staff. You'll hear a little about our church, its history and ask any questions. We look forward to sharing a meal with you. Everything is provided so please let us know you're coming.

We will come together as families and make sandwiches to be given to the homeless in downtown Minneapolis. We will need a lot of hands!  Kids ages 3 and up will be able to participate in this event. We hope to make between 300 and 500 sandwiches.

The Preteen Communion Night is coming up on March 17th and this is an invitation to the parents and students to participate! This will be a night of meeting Preteen leaders, understanding what we do from week-to-week, and discussing the significance of Communion. We will then participate in Communion together.

Missions opportunities are one of the priorities we have at Oakwood to raise lifelong followers of Jesus. Missions experiences allow students to take ownership of their faith, develop deep relationships with other Christian friends, engage in a different culture, and see God's Kingdom at work on a larger level. Missions experiences are connected to higher faith connection and ownership in teenagers.

This summer, we are offering a missions trip for current 6-8 grade students. We will be heading to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 5 days to serve alongside the missions organization YouthWorks.  This trip is geared specifically for this younger age group to serve in different ways within the community. They will serve in food pantries, meal centers, local gardens, and intergenerational care centers throughout the week.

• This is for CURRENT 6-8th grade students

• July 27-August 1 (travel will be by 15 passenger van)

• Down-payment is $100 (non-refundable)

• Overall cost is $700

• Registration Closes on March 9th, 2025

This class is designed to help individuals and families manage their finances from a biblical perspective. This course is designed to cover the basics of personal finance where you’ll be taught exactly what you should do next with your money. Classes begin on Jan. 14th and run for 6 weeks.

LIFE Conference is a 4-day national Youth Convention where 5,000 students come together to worship, listen to powerful speakers, attend sessions around discipleship and Christian living, serve the city for one day, and build community with one another. This is an impactful and life transforming week for students. We will be flying or driving to Indianapolis, IN for a powerful week (July 4-9, 2025). All transportation, food, and accommodations are included in the cost.

All MS (6-8 grade) youth are invited to join us at Safari Island for Middle School NIGHT OF FUN! We have rented out the space for an awesome time and there will be some fun competitions, the swimming pool area will be open to us, free time, activities, pizza, hang out area, and more! There will be something for everyone and we want you there! The cost is $10 and it covers the space rental, pizza, and all the activities for the evening! Don't miss it and we want you to invite your friends to this great night!

Flannel Fest is a night unlike any other in this community. Students in 6th-12th grade come together at the Waconia High School to have fun, play games, worship, hear a message, and pray together! We consider Flannel Fest the BEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR! It is an opportunity for every student, regardless of faith background to come, join the fun!
